Friendly service, Max is fluent in both English and French which was a bonus as our French is still a little rusty. Cater for vegetarian diets. Open on Sundays, delicious food and nicely timed service. Great job guys

Beautiful little place in a Loire town called Montrichard. We had a guided visit to the Loire Castles and our fantastic guide Roland recommended it. Loved the local fish and wine. Not expensive and very good food

Max and his team were fantastic hosts willing to handle a group of 8 foreigners that may have been a little more boisterous than the area usually experienced. They helped us to understand the menu options, gave great recommendations, and were willing to joke and laugh with us as we figured out what we wanted to order. We enjoyed the experience and food enough that we returned later in the week. The Mont Savoyard was an excellent burger with ham, bacon, potato fritter and cheese. Make sure to get the double because you have been walking so much, you need the fuel. The Mont Seigneur is an interesting burger with foie gras and sundried tomatoes. If you are hesitant to try foie gras, this is a great way to go for it. If you don't like it, it is easy to brush off and still enjoy the burger. The steak was well prepared. The Chicken Sandwich (single) was excellently fried with a fried egg. Top any of it off with any of the desserts. The Carmel or American Ice creams provide plenty, as well as the Cafe Gourmand which provides an espresso with a sampling of 2 or 3 other desserts. The Mousse de Chocolate was a table favorite, though I was partial to the Il Flottante, a delicious combination of soft meringues floating in a dish of creme anglaise.
